Mountain Woman

This instrument, except for the fingerboard's underside and back inlay, is black walnut. I used my band saw to create the pretty bookmatched back. This was the first dulcimer that I carved the tuning pegs (ebony) for. I had just acquired a tapered reamer and peg sharpener from a luthier's supply catalog, so I had to try it. I still have this instrument.
