The Old Number 1

This is the first guitar I built. The soundboard is Sitka spruce, and the sides and back are black walnut. The neck and head are maple with ebony fingerboard and head lamination. The "Coog Moon™" is ivory, from old scrap pieces I've found over the years at flea markets. The tuners are Schallers. The bridge I bought from Stewart-MacDonald (I make my own now) as well as the soundhole inlay. The binding came from Southern Lumber in San José. With medium-gauge silk and steel strings, the tone is not exceedingly loud but throaty (fairly deep with midrange-type treble). It's fun to play old Dylan tunes on this one.
