Number 2 (12-string Dreadnaught)

Model D 1-12 #1: I had a large chunk of zebrawood that I purchased back in the '70s that I got specifically for a dulcimer. A lot was left over. When I started building guitars, I wanted to try one with the rest of the zebrawood, and it turned out to be this 12-string. The top is Douglas fir, the neck is maple, the fretboard and head lamination are Gaboon ebony, and the head inlay is antique ivory. The sound is very mellow and not too loud (due to the dampening effects of the zebrawood), even with medium-guage strings. The neck is a little narrow (for a 12-string), but quite easy to fret. I love to strum this on quiet evenings.
